seeking a highly skilled and motivated Oracle Cloud Integration Specialist to join an exciting company on a contract to hire engagement. This will be a hybrid working schedule with 3 days onsite in Denton, TX. The Oracle Cloud Integration Specialist is responsible for the design, development, management, and support of integrations including Oracle Cloud SaaS applications, including HCM, Finance, SCM, and EPM, using Oracle Integration Cloud (OIC) and other tools. This role works closely with functional stakeholders to gather integration requirements, implement modern and secure integration solutions, and ensure data integrity and consistency across systems. The specialist will have deep knowledge of Oracle APIs (REST/SOAP), integration patterns, data migration tools, and exception handling.

Responsibilities:
- Design and implement end-to-end integrations using Oracle Integration Cloud (OIC), Oracle Integration Service (OIS), and related Oracle Cloud tools.
- Develop and manage web services and APIs (REST/SOAP) to integrate SaaS applications and external/boundary systems.
- Utilize BICC, BI Publisher (BIP) Extracts, HCM Extracts, HDL, FBDI, ADFdi, and OIC adapters to facilitate data exchange.
- Collaborate with functional analysts to gather and understand business requirements and translate them into technical integration solutions.
- Develop integration-related documentation including functional specs, technical specs, and system/data flow diagrams.
- Troubleshoot integration failures and errors; implement exception handling, retries, and monitoring for reliability.
- Participate in Oracle Cloud quarterly patching cycles, ensuring integrations are validated post-upgrade.
- Assist in testing, deployment, and support of integration solutions.
- Extend Oracle SaaS applications where needed using PaaS tools and OCI services such as APEX, ATP, or Visual Builder.
- Ensure integrations adhere to enterprise security, performance, and scalability standards.
- Guide best practices for modern integration architecture in Oracle Cloud.
- Work with data architects, developers, and analysts to align integration efforts with broader data strategy.
- Document integration inventory and design artifacts in a structured repository.
- Stay current with Oracle integration capabilities, tools, and roadmap updates.
- Recommend enhancements or changes to improve performance and reliability of integration processes.
- Serve as an integration subject matter expert in cross-functional teams and projects.
Required Skills:
- Bachelor’s degree, preferably in Computer Science.
- 7+ years of relevant experience in Oracle SaaS and Cloud integration development.
- Extensive hands-on experience with Oracle Integration Cloud (OIC), including integration with REST, SOAP, FTP, File, and application adapters.
- Advanced skills in PL/SQL and SQL, with a solid understanding of relational databases and their integration within cloud-based systems – REQUIRED.
- Strong understanding of integration patterns, error handling, data transformation, and data mapping.
- Experience with Oracle SaaS APIs for HCM, Financials, SCM, and EPM, and deep knowledge of integration best practices across these applications.
- Proficiency in using BICC, HDL, FBDI, BI Publisher, and HCM Extracts for data extraction and integration.
- Ability to design and deploy custom integrations using Oracle PaaS services such as APEX, ATP, Visual Builder, and other OCI services.
- Strong ability to interpret functional business requirements and translate them into detailed integration specifications.
- Experience in troubleshooting integration failures and implementing exception handling, retries, and monitoring to ensure reliability and scalability.
- Excellent communication and documentation skills, with the ability to clearly articulate technical concepts to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
- Experience with version control systems (e.g., Git), and knowledge of Agile project management and development practices.
- Experience supporting production integration systems and managing the end-to-end lifecycle of integrations, ensuring high availability and performance.
- Familiarity with integration monitoring tools or Application Performance Management (APM) tools to ensure system performance and early identification of integration issues.
- Knowledge of security protocols, including OAuth, JWT, and encryption practices for secure data transmission and integration.
- Strong collaboration skills, with experience working alongside functional analysts, data architects, and cross-functional teams to ensure successful integration outcomes.
