Oracle & PostgreSQL Database Engineer

Job Role & Responsibilities: ? Database Migration: Migrate Oracle databases to open-source databases (e.g., PostgreSQL). ? Database Development: Design and develop schemas, tables, triggers, indexes, sequences, and constraints in Oracle & PostgreSQL. ? Business Requirements: Analyze and understand business needs to develop efficient database models and schemas. ? Scripting & Stored Procedures: Write database scripts using stored functions, procedures, packages, and triggers. ? Optimization & Performance Tuning: Provide optimal design solutions to enhance system quality and efficiency. ? ETL & Automation: Write ETL codes, update SQL statements, and create shell scripts for automation. ?

 Best Practices: Implement and follow database design best practices. ? Documentation: Maintain detailed technical documentation for reference. ? Collaboration: Work closely with teams to coordinate database-related activities.

 Technical Skills Summary: Mandatory Skills: Oracle DB (11G, 12C, 19C), SQL, PL/SQL, PostgreSQL (PL/pgSQL), SQL Tools (SQL*Plus, TOAD, pgAdmin, etc.) Added Advantage: Migration Tools (Ora2Pg, PGLoader), Java, Shell Scripting, Jenkins, EDI Domain
