Description

We are seeking a highly skilled Oracle PL/SQL Developer for a 3-month contract-to-hire opportunity. This role focuses on the development, enhancement, and support of Oracle E-Business Suite (R12) and related custom applications. The ideal candidate will have deep expertise in PL/SQL, database performance tuning, and be comfortable working in an Agile/Scrum environment.


 

Responsibilities:

  • Work on medium to large-scale development and enhancement requests related to Oracle eBusiness Suite (R12) and custom Oracle applications.
  • Collaborate with Client Managers, Project Coordinators, Business Analysts, and QA teams to ensure timely delivery of projects, enhancements, and bug fixes.
  • Perform root cause analysis and troubleshoot complex technical issues involving Oracle PL/SQL and related technologies.
  • Participate in Daily SCRUMs, sprint planning, grooming sessions, and weekly status meetings.
  • Conduct peer code reviews, unit testing, and provide impact analysis on related modules.
  • Document technical solutions and identify areas lacking documentation to ensure process completeness.
  • Share ideas for process improvements, coding best practices, and service excellence initiatives.


 

Basic Qualifications:

  • Minimum 5 years of experience in Oracle PL/SQL development.
  • Proficiency in writing and optimizing complex PL/SQL code (packages, procedures, triggers, hints).
  • Strong experience with large datasets, collections, and advanced PL/SQL performance tuning.
  • Knowledge of DBLinks, query hints, handling database locks, and data migration scripts.
  • Hands-on experience with UNIX shell scripting and debugging tools.
  • Familiarity with version control tools (GIT, Stash, SourceTree, ClearCase).
  • Exposure to CI/CD tools (Jenkins, BuildForge) and collaboration tools (Confluence, SharePoint).
  • Experience working with Agile methodologies and tools like JIRA, PPM.


 

Nice to Have:

  • Experience with Core Java, Spring Boot, or Angular.
  • Prior experience with Oracle Applications R12.
  • Understanding of US Healthcare/Health Benefits domain is a plus.


 

Education:

Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field is required
