Roles and Responsibilities:

  • Develop and maintain Oracle EBS applications, focusing on modules such as OM, AR, CE, and GL.
  • Write and optimize Oracle SQL queries and PLSQL programs, utilizing advanced techniques for performance tuning.
  • Implement shell scripting, XML Publisher, and SQL Loader for data management and reporting.
  • Collaborate with business users and IT analysts to gather requirements and execute System Integration Testing (SIT) and User Acceptance Testing (UAT).
  • Engage with Client Tech Leads for design reviews and technical discussions.
  • Ensure effective communication within the team and contribute to a collaborative work environment.
  • Manage integrations with third-party systems, including banks, ensuring seamless data flow.

Skills Required:

  • Oracle EBS: Oracle E-Business Suite - a comprehensive suite of integrated business applications. Core platform for development and customization.
  • Oracle Apps: General term referring to Oracle's enterprise applications. Requires knowledge of modules and technical architecture.
  • Oracle SQL: Structured Query Language used to interact with Oracle databases - writing, reading, and managing data.
  • PLSQL programming: Oracle's procedural extension to SQL - essential for creating stored procedures, functions, triggers, and packages.
  • Performance tuning: Techniques to improve the efficiency of SQL queries and database procedures.
  • Shell scripting: Writing scripts in Unix/Linux environments for automation and batch processing.
  • XML Publisher: Oracle's reporting tool (also called BI Publisher) used to create reports from EBS data.

Education: Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field (preferred)
