Oracle DBA with EBS

Job Overview:

We are looking for an experienced Oracle Database Administrator (DBA) with expertise in Oracle E-Business Suite (EBS) to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a deep understanding of managing Oracle databases specifically for EBS environments, performing regular backups and upgrades using RMAN, optimizing SQL performance, and supporting high-availability configurations using Oracle RAC and ASM. Key Responsibilities:

• Oracle EBS Database Management: Administer and manage Oracle databases supporting Oracle E-Business Suite (EBS) applications.
• Backups & Recovery: Perform regular database backups and restore operations using Oracle Recovery Manager (RMAN) to ensure high data availability and disaster recovery readiness.
• SQL Performance Tuning: Analyze and optimize SQL queries and database performance to ensure high efficiency and speed for EBS applications.
• Database Upgrades & Patches: Perform database upgrades, patching, and maintenance for Oracle databases and EBS, ensuring minimal downtime and seamless transitions.
• High Availability Configuration: Manage and support Oracle Real Application Clusters (RAC) and Oracle Automatic Storage Management (ASM) to ensure high availability and scalability for critical applications.
• Database Security: Implement and maintain database security policies and ensure compliance with data protection regulations.
• Capacity Planning: Monitor database performance and perform capacity planning to anticipate growth, ensuring adequate resources and scalability.
• Troubleshooting & Support: Provide expert troubleshooting for database issues, particularly related to EBS environments, and provide ongoing support for database maintenance.
• Documentation & Reporting: Maintain detailed documentation for database configurations, procedures, and issues, and provide regular reports on system performance and backups.

Key Skills & Qualifications:

• 8+ years of experience in managing Oracle databases, with a focus on Oracle E-Business Suite (EBS) environments.
• Oracle Database Administration (DBA): Proven expertise in managing and administering Oracle databases, including backup/recovery, security, and performance tuning.
• RMAN (Recovery Manager): Extensive experience using RMAN for backup, restore, and disaster recovery operations.
• SQL Performance Tuning: Strong skills in SQL query optimization, database performance tuning, and index management.
• Oracle RAC (Real Application Clusters): Hands-on experience with Oracle RAC for high availability and scalability in mission-critical environments.
• Oracle ASM (Automatic Storage Management): Expertise in managing Oracle ASM for storage management in Oracle databases.
• PL/SQL: Proficient in writing PL/SQL scripts for automation, data manipulation, and database maintenance tasks.
• Database Upgrades and Patches: Experience with Oracle database and EBS patching and upgrades, ensuring minimal downtime and system integrity.
• EBS Applications Knowledge: Familiarity with Oracle E-Business Suite applications and their database architecture.
• Database Security: Strong knowledge of database security practices and tools.
• Troubleshooting and Support: Experience in diagnosing and resolving database-related issues, especially in complex enterprise environments.
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Certification in Oracle Database Administration (e.g., Oracle OCP) is a plus.
• Familiarity with Oracle Exadata environments is advantageous.
• Experience with cloud-based Oracle database services is a plus.
