Key Responsibilities:
Oracle
RAC Administration: Manage and maintain Oracle RAC environments,
ensuring high availability and performance.
Oracle
GoldenGate Administration: Install, configure, and
maintain Oracle GoldenGate for data replication, integration, and
synchronization across heterogeneous systems.
Database
Management: Perform database creation, backup and recovery,
patch management, and upgrades.
Performance
Tuning: Conduct advanced troubleshooting and performance
tuning of Oracle GoldenGate components, including Extract, Replicat,
Manager, and Data Pump.
Replication
Solutions: Implement and manage complex replication
solutions such as active-active and active-passive setups.
Disaster
Recovery: Configure and optimize disaster recovery
solutions using Oracle Data Guard and RMAN.
Security: Manage
database security, user permissions, and implement disaster recovery
strategies.
Cloud
Integration: Set up and manage Oracle GoldenGate in both
on-premises and cloud environments.
Required Skills:
Oracle
RAC: Strong
experience with Oracle RAC (Real Application Clusters).
GoldenGate: Expertise
in Oracle GoldenGate for data replication.
Database
Administration: Proficiency in core Oracle database
administration tasks.
Performance
Optimization: Experience in database tuning and performance
optimization.
Cloud
Platforms: Exposure to cloud platforms like AWS, Azure, or
Google Cloud.
PL/SQL
Development: Knowledge of PL/SQL development and performance
optimization.
Automation: Familiarity
with automation scripting using Unix Shell, Ansible, or similar tools.
Administer
and analyze business-critical production databases, ensuring high
availability, performance, and data integrity.
Act as
the primary DBA Lead and point of contact for customer IT teams, providing
technical leadership and strategic guidance.
Own and
drive incidents from identification to root cause analysis (RCA) and
resolution.
Plan,
coordinate, and execute weekend changes and maintenance activities by
leading an offshore DBA team.
Participate
in customer architecture design, cloud adoption, and modernization
initiatives.
Engage
in capacity planning, performance tuning, and health monitoring of
engineered systems and databases.
Contribute
to backup/recovery strategies, DR planning, and security compliance.
Drive
knowledge sharing, mentor junior DBAs, and foster a culture of continuous
learning.
