Job Title: Observability Engineer

Location: 1 day remote 4 days onsite in Englewood, CO (Local only)

Duration : 6 month contract

3-5 years of experience will work.

This engineering role contributes significantly to planning, implementing, and maintaining system monitoring and observability artifacts for a complex enterprise network.

What You'll Do

Monitor systems supporting Wi-Fi and High-Speed Data platforms.

Develop and maintain dashboards using tools like Datadog, Grafana, and Splunk.

Integrate observability across the tech stack, including APM, NPM, SNMP, log aggregation, and JVM monitoring.

Collaborate with developers and infrastructure teams to implement end-to-end monitoring and alerting strategies.

Automate monitoring tasks and data collection using Python or Bash scripting.

Contribute to revision control and versioning efforts using Git.

Analyze and optimize network and system performance, with a focus on Wi-Fi observability.

Required Qualification:

Experience in systems monitoring, observability, or a related engineering role.

Hands-on experience with Datadog, Splunk, and Grafana for dashboarding and metrics visualization.

Proficient in Python and/or Bash for automation and scripting.

Familiarity with monitoring technologies such as APM, NPM, SNMP, and log aggregation tools.

Experience with JVM monitoring and network device observability.

Strong understanding of Wi-Fi technologies and performance analysis.

Comfortable working in Git-based environments and contributing to version-controlled projects.

Effective communicator with a collaborative mindset.
