OBIEE Analyst

Job Description:

We are seeking a highly skilled OBIEE Analyst to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for developing and optimizing OBIEE dashboards and reports, performing data modeling and integration, and ensuring the delivery of efficient Business Intelligence (BI) solutions. The OBIEE Analyst will work closely with cross-functional teams to understand business requirements and translate them into effective BI solutions, optimizing data flow and visualization to support business decision-making.

Key Responsibilities:

• OBIEE Dashboard & Report Development:
  Design, develop, and deploy OBIEE dashboards and reports to provide valuable business insights. Ensure that dashboards are user-friendly, interactive, and present data in an actionable format.
• Data Modeling & Integration:
  Perform data modeling tasks to support reporting and analytics, including the design of logical and physical models. Integrate data from multiple sources into OBIEE to ensure accurate and comprehensive reporting.
• BI Solution Optimization:
  Optimize OBIEE solutions for better performance. Identify opportunities to improve the speed and efficiency of BI reports, ensuring they can handle large datasets with minimal delay.
• ETL Process Management:
  Develop, implement, and manage ETL (Extract, Transform, Load) processes to extract data from various systems, transform it as needed, and load it into the data warehouse for reporting purposes.
• Collaboration with Stakeholders:
  Work closely with business analysts, IT teams, and other stakeholders to gather requirements and deliver solutions that meet the business needs. Provide ongoing support for existing reports and dashboards.
• Troubleshooting & Issue Resolution:
  Provide support for the OBIEE platform, troubleshoot issues, and ensure the smooth functioning of BI solutions. Resolve any data discrepancies or report failures in a timely manner.

Skills & Qualifications:

• OBIEE Expertise:
  • Strong experience with OBIEE (Oracle Business Intelligence Enterprise Edition) for report and dashboard development.
  • Expertise in data modeling and integration techniques in OBIEE, including creating subject areas, physical and logical layers.
• BI Reporting & Dashboard Design:
  • In-depth experience in BI reporting and dashboard design with OBIEE.
  • Ability to create effective, interactive, and visually appealing dashboards for business users.
• ETL Development:
  • Hands-on experience in ETL processes (Extract, Transform, Load) and integration between different data sources.
• Performance Optimization:
  • Experience in optimizing OBIEE queries, reports, and dashboards to improve performance, particularly when dealing with large datasets.
• Technical Skills:
  • Proficiency in SQL for data extraction and query optimization.
  • Knowledge of Oracle Database and Oracle Data Warehouse architecture.
• Analytical & Problem-Solving Skills:
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to understand complex business requirements and convert them into actionable BI solutions.
  • Problem-solving mindset for troubleshooting and resolving technical and data issues.
• Communication Skills:
  • Excellent communication skills to work with both technical and non-technical stakeholders and deliver solutions based on their requirements.

Preferred Qualifications:

• OBIEE Certification or other relevant certifications in Business Intelligence.
• Experience working in Agile project environments.
• Exposure to other BI tools like Tableau, Power BI, or SAP BI is a plus.
• Knowledge of Data Warehousing concepts and practices.
