About the Role:

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Network Engineer to join our team. The ideal candidate will possess a deep understanding of L2/L3 networking protocols and extensive hands-on experience in designing, implementing, and troubleshooting complex network infrastructures. This role requires a strong focus on routing and switching technologies, particularly in service provider or large enterprise environments. The position will be based in either Pune or Mumbai and will follow a hybrid work model.

Responsibilities:

  • Design, implement, and maintain complex L2/L3 networks, including MPLS-based VPNs (L2VPN, L3VPN).
  • Configure and troubleshoot routing protocols such as BGP, OSPF, ISIS.
  • Implement and manage various network technologies, including VRRP, LDP, RSVP-TE, Segment Routing, VPLS, VxLAN, EVPN.
  • Design and implement Multicast solutions.
  • Work with traffic engineering protocols like RSVP and LDP.
  • Implement and manage VPLS and L3VPN services.
  • Experience with PCEP and BGP-LS is highly desirable.
  • Perform network capacity planning and optimization.
  • Provide Tier 2/3 support for network related issues.
  • Develop and maintain network documentation.
  • Collaborate with other teams to ensure network stability and performance.
  • Participate in on-call rotation for network support.
  • Stay updated with the latest networking technologies and trends.

Required Skills and Experience:

  • 5-10 years of hands-on experience in network engineering.
  • Strong understanding of L2/L3 networking concepts.
  • Extensive experience with routing protocols (BGP, OSPF, ISIS).
  • Hands-on experience with MPLS technologies (L2VPN, L3VPN, VPLS).
  • Proficiency in configuring and troubleshooting VRRP, LDP, RSVP-TE, Segment Routing.
  • Solid understanding of VxLAN and EVPN technologies.
  • Experience with Multicast implementation and troubleshooting.
  • Experience with RSVP and LDP for traffic engineering.
  • Knowledge of PCEP and BGP-LS is a plus.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
