Network Security lead

Required Skills & Qualifications: Firewall Expertise: Hands-on experience with Fortinet, Check Point, and Palo Alto firewalls, including policy creation, troubleshooting, and log analysis. Proxy Solutions: Strong knowledge of Forcepoint proxy configuration, management, and troubleshooting. Web Application Firewalls (WAF): Experience with Fortinet WAF, including policy management and security rule tuning. Familiarity with networking protocols (TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP) and routing/switching concepts. Solid understanding of security principles such as least privilege, network segmentation, and encryption. Experience with monitoring and logging tools (e.g., syslog, SIEM platforms). Strong troubleshooting skills and ability to analyze security incidents. Preferred Certifications: Fortinet NSE 4/5 Checkpoint CCSA/CCSE Palo Alto PCNSA/PCNSE Forcepoint certification (or equivalent experience) Soft Skills: Strong analytical and problem-solving skills. Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal. Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment. Strong attention to detail and a proactive approach to security. Education: Bachelors degree in computer science, Information Technology, or a related field, or equivalent experience. Expectation: Associate required to be at customer Location, Richmond VA.
