Description

A Network Security Engineer with Palo Alto CNSE certification and VPN expertise is responsible for designing, implementing, and maintaining a secure network infrastructure. This role ensures the protection of an organization’s data and assets by managing firewalls, securing remote access, and monitoring network traffic for threats.
Key Components of the Role:

  • Responsibilities:
    • Configure and maintain firewalls, intrusion prevention systems (IPS), and secure network architecture.
    • Perform network risk assessments and vulnerability scans.
    • Design and enforce access control policies and segmentation strategies.
    • Investigate and respond to security incidents or suspicious network behavior.
    • Work with cross-functional teams to ensure compliance with industry standards and security frameworks (NIST, ISO 27001, etc.).

Palo Alto CNSE (Certified Network Security Engineer)

  • Key Tasks:
    • Expertly configure Palo Alto Networks firewalls using features like App-ID, User-ID, and Content-ID.
    • Manage and optimize security policies, NAT, and traffic inspection.
    • Utilize Panorama for centralized firewall management.
    • Troubleshoot complex network security issues related to Palo Alto products.
    • Implement advanced threat prevention and zero trust models using Palo Alto technologies.

Virtual Private Network (VPN)

  • Responsibilities:
    • Configure and manage IPSec, SSL, and client-based VPNs.
    • Troubleshoot connectivity issues and VPN authentication failures.
    • Ensure VPN solutions support MFA, strong encryption, and are aligned with corporate access policies.
    • Monitor and audit VPN sessions to detect misuse or anomalies.
    • Integrate VPN configurations with Palo Alto firewalls and cloud access controls
