Network Security Engineer

Summary:

The Client is seeks a highly experienced Network Security Engineer to design, implement, and maintain secure and scalable network infrastructure. The resource will ensure 24x7 secure network operations, contribute to system migrations, troubleshoot threats, and assist in maintaining best-in-class security and network health across judiciary systems.

Roles and Responsibilities:
• Design and implement secure network systems and upgrades
• Perform assessments, installations, and troubleshooting of data security networks
• Develop detailed network architecture documentation
• Lead or support migration to next-generation network technologies
• Support advanced firewall configurations, VPNs, threat detection and mitigation
• Assist in managing centralized tools (e.g., Panorama, SolarWinds)
• Provide mentoring to junior staff and ensure effective knowledge sharing
• Collaborate across engineering teams for efficient project execution
• Generate weekly project and status reports
• Host and coordinate regular team meetings

Must-Have / Required Experience & Skills:
• Minimum Associate's Degree in IT or related field
• Active Palo Alto Networks Certified Network Security Engineer (PCNSE)
• Active Cisco Certified Network Professional (CCNP) – Enterprise or Security
• At least 5 years hands-on experience with:

o Palo Alto NGFW services
o VPNs, Content Filtering, Intrusion Detection/Prevention (IDP), TLS/SSL Inspection

• At least 4 years with Cisco networking (routing, switching, wireless)
• At least 3 years working with A10 Networks (load balancing, reverse proxies)
• At least 2 years with NAC (Cisco Client, Free Radius, ACLs)
• General expertise in:

o Cloud security/networking
o MFA implementation
o 802.1x wired/wireless authentication
o PKI and certificate management
o Vulnerability management (e.g., Nessus, NMAP)
o Protocol analysis (e.g., Wireshark, Riverbed)
o Scalable routing protocols: EIGRP, OSPF, BGP
o Operating systems: Windows, Unix, Linux

Nice-to-Have / Desired Experience:
• Bachelor's Degree in an IT-related field
• Certification:

o Prisma Certified Cloud Security Engineer (PCCSE)
o Cisco Certified Internetwork Expert (CCIE) – Enterprise or Security

• 10+ years of total IT network and security experience
• Experience in Enterprise Data Center microsegmentation
