As a Network Operations Engineer, you will:
- Support the company's highly technical software and hardware engineering teams by providing tier 2 support for network issues and managing network support ticket queues.
- Troubleshoot and diagnose VPN, Wi-Fi, Internet, and internal network issues.
- Monitor network and security infrastructure via organizational tools and platforms.
- Engage with other cross-functional teams to escalate and prioritize support issues.
- Assist in network deployment and testing.
Requirements
- 5+ years of relevant industry experience
- Experience with troubleshooting complex issues and providing detailed root cause analysis
- An understanding of network orchestration and automation with Python, Ansible, and Terraform
- Experience supporting BGP networks along with other advanced routing protocols
- Fundamental understanding of network security with experience in edge firewall support
- Fundamental understanding of SSE VPN solutions with widely distributed users
- A drive to learn and work with industry-leading technologies
- Ability to provide reliable support to users
- Demonstrates strong attention to detail
- Ability to communicate effectively with individuals of various technical expertise
- Attentive listening skills and the ability to synthesize the information provided
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience with Fortinet firewalls and switching, Ubiquiti Wi-Fi, and Zscaler ZIA/ZPA
- Experience with Cradlepoint NetCloud and Cradlepoint routers
