We are seeking a dedicated and motivated L1 Network Operations Analyst to join our Network Operations Center (NOC) team. The ideal candidate should possess a strong foundation in networking concepts, troubleshooting skills, and the ability to work collaboratively within a fast-paced environment. As an L1 Network Operations Analyst, you will play a critical role in monitoring, diagnosing, and resolving network issues to ensure the stability and reliability of our network infrastructure.
Responsibilities:
- Monitor network performance and availability through Solarwinds network monitoring tool.
- Identify and escalate network incidents, abnormalities, and outages to senior team members for further investigation and resolution.
- Monitoring the NOC dashboard and creating incidents based on alerts and escalating the issue with senior team members and trying to fix it ASAP.
- Maintain accurate records of network incidents, solutions applied, and troubleshooting steps taken.
- Provide initial troubleshooting and diagnostics for network-related problems, including connectivity issues, latency, and performance degradation(ISP management).
- Follow documented procedures to respond to network alerts and incidents, including opening, tracking, and closing tickets.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure effective communication and timely incident resolution.
- Execute routine network tasks such as NCM backups. proactive checks, checkpoint Proactive checks.
- Participate in shift rotations, including weekends and holidays, to provide 24/7 coverage for the Network Operations Center.
Qualifications and Skills:
- Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Information Technology, or a related field (or equivalent work experience).
- Strong understanding of networking principles, including TCP/IP, routing, switching, VLANs, subnets and firewall concepts.
- Familiarity with networking equipment such as routers, switches, wireless, firewalls, and load balancers.
- Basic knowledge of network monitoring tools and protocols (SNMP, NetFlow, Syslog, etc.).
- Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to analyse, troubleshoot, and resolve network issues efficiently.
- Effective written and verbal communication skills for clear incident reporting and documentation.
- Ability to work under pressure in a dynamic and fast-paced environment.
- Flexibility to work in shifts and respond to on-call requirements.
- 1 to 3 years of experience working in Network operations.
- Industry certifications such as CCNA
