Network Engineer

Job Responsibilities

• Strong skills on Routing and Switching: L2 and L3 protocols, Spanning tree, VTP, VLAN, BGP, OSPF, IPV4-IPV6 etc.
• Firewall management for Cisco ASA, Juniper SRX, Palo Alto like applying ACLs, failover, code upgrade, policy management.
• Proactive handling alerts like monitoring bandwidth, cpu utilization, power failure, card-failure, ntp for network devices.
• Working with vendors like Cisco, Arista, Juniper TAC for analyzing bug or root-cause/break fix.
• Working skills to use tools like Splunk, Wireshark etc. for Tshoot/ breakfix.
• Collaboration with site-services for migration, physical hardware replacement for any networking devices.
• Automation skills to use and develop scripts/playbooks using Python, Ansible, APIs etc to manage repeated task and easy the workflow.

Education

Bachelor’s degree in computer science, computer systems networking, computer information systems, information technology, or related, or a combination of education and experience equating to the U.S. equivalent of a bachelor’s degree in one of the aforementioned subjects.
