Network Engineer

Responsibilities

Design, develop, test, configure, upgrade, and maintain Fortinet and Checkpoint Firewalls (VDOM/VSX).

Deploy and operate infrastructure and network software following change management processes.

Collaborate with cross-functional teams and internal/external customers using Agile/DevOps principles.

Troubleshoot complex network flows, performance, and configuration issues.

Manage firewall policies, provisioning, and assurance in compliance with security standards.

Develop and maintain technical documentation and knowledge-sharing practices.

Participate in firewall roadmap planning, upgrades, and new feature deployments.

Automate and optimize workflows using Shell, Python, or Perl scripting.

Participate in on-call rotation and perform weekend deployments as required.

Must-Have Skills

Strong hands-on experience with Checkpoint and Fortinet Firewalls.

Proficiency with F5 Load Balancers.

Solid understanding of Routing and Switching.

Familiarity with Agile methodologies.

Experience with firewall management tools (FortiManager, FortiAnalyzer, Checkpoint Smart-One).

Desired Skills

Certifications such as Fortinet FCP/FCSS, Checkpoint CCSA/CCSE, Cisco CCNA.

Familiarity with SD-WAN, Zero Trust, Zero Touch/Infrastructure-as-Code (IaC).

Experience with security policy management tools (e.g., Algosec).

Hands-on with Linux environments.

Knowledge of collaboration tools like Jira, Confluence, and ServiceNow
