Description

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design, configure, and support LAN, WAN, wireless, and VPN environments.
  • Install and maintain network hardware (switches, routers, firewalls, wireless APs).
  • Monitor network performance, diagnose issues, and ensure high availability and security.
  • Manage and troubleshoot firewalls, proxies, and load balancers (e.g., Cisco, Fortinet, Palo Alto).
  • Support remote access technologies (VPN, SSL, IPsec).
  • Collaborate with system admins, cloud engineers, and security teams to ensure cohesive infrastructure operations.
  • Implement and enforce network policies, procedures, and documentation.
  • Provide Level 2/3 support for network-related incidents and service requests.
  • Assist with backup and disaster recovery planning for network components.
  • Participate in on-call rotations and emergency troubleshooting as needed.

Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field (or equivalent work experience).
  • 3–5 years of hands-on experience as a network engineer or in a similar role.
  • Strong understanding of TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, NAT, VLANs, and subnetting.
  • Experience with enterprise networking hardware (e.g., Cisco, Juniper, Ubiquiti, Fortinet).
  • Working knowledge of network security principles and tools.
  • Familiarity with cloud networking (e.g., AWS VPCs, Azure VNets) is a plus.
  • Experience with network monitoring tools (e.g., PRTG, SolarWinds, Wireshark).
  • Scripting or automation skills (e.g., Python, PowerShell, Ansible) are a plus.
  • Relevant certifications such as CCNA, CompTIA Network+, Fortinet NSE, or equivalent preferred
