Network Engineer

Key Skills:  SD-WAN, MPLS, Network Monitoring, WAN Troubleshooting, Versa, Cisco Viptela, Meraki MX, VeloCloud, Fortinet, uCPE, WAN Accelerators, Firewalls, Network Design, Firmware Updates, Network Security, Alert Management.

Roles and Responsibilities:

• Hands-on experience in network monitoring and alert management.
• Troubleshoot transport layer issues including WAN link failures and performance degradation.
• Participate in large global MPLS/SD-WAN project implementations.
• Work with technologies including uCPE, WAN accelerators, and firewalls.
• Engage directly with customers to activate services and ensure successful deployment.
• Plan, design, and create supporting documentation for network upgrades and enhanced security.
• Design and implement new network solutions and/or improve the efficiency of current networks.
• Install, configure, and support network equipment as part of ongoing infrastructure support.
• Maximize network performance through continuous monitoring and issue resolution.
• Schedule and manage routine network upgrades.
• Investigate and resolve faults in the network infrastructure.
• Ensure network equipment is updated to the latest firmware versions.
• Provide detailed network status reports to key stakeholders.

Experience Requirements:

• 5-12 years of experience in network monitoring, WAN troubleshooting, and alert management.
• Experience working on large-scale global MPLS and SD-WAN projects.
• Exposure to uCPE devices, WAN acceleration technologies, and enterprise firewall solutions.
• Preferred experience implementing SD-WAN solutions on platforms like Versa, Cisco-Viptela, Meraki MX, VeloCloud, and Fortinet.
• Experience with network performance tuning, troubleshooting, firmware updates, and customer interaction during service activation.
• Strong documentation and reporting skills for network-related tasks and upgrades.
