Description

  • Apply Defense Information Systems Agency (DISA) Secure Technical Implementation Guides (STIGs) to operating systems and applications.
  • Monitor and maintain servers physical and virtual network switches and routers, workstations and laptops on the network.
  • Participate in the design, plan and execution of network modernization projects.
  • Research and recommend network products based on customer requirements.
  • Assist with the design, planning and implementation of new server systems.
  • Troubleshoot advanced server and software incidents.
  • Coordinate with vendors and other Government agencies to provide support for network devices
  • Respond to incidents elevated from the customer NOC and Information Assurance Management section related to network matters/security incidents and resolve the incidents as directed
  • Coordinate with the customer communications office to install fiber optic and copper-based connectivity for new and existing buildings.    
  • Monitor the Enterprise Operations Console, and document and report network related incidents, looking for indications of network related incidents
  • Installs and configures network device equipment for NIPR/SIPR
  • Install, configure, and maintain cryptographic devices such as KG-175, Simple Key Loader (SKL), TACLANES, FASTLANES and all other network encryption devices.
  • Operate and maintain physical and virtual Windows, Linux and VMware Workstations and Servers 
  • Provide data backup and restoration capabilities for NIPRNET, SIPRNET, JWICS, and Special Access Systems.
  • Support replication of network file share volumes via Distributed Files System w/ Replication (DFS-R) between the NCR and NSGB locations.
  • Provide systems recovery and repair operations employing industry best practices for systems troubleshooting and fault isolation.
  • Bring up-to-date and preserve computer inventory and surplus equipment
  • Make sure desktop computers interconnect seamlessly with various systems
  • Vouch for and implement upgrades on systems to guarantee longevity
  • Ascertain and repair hardware and network connectivity issues
  • Devices:  Cisco C9200 (L2), C9200CX (L2), C9500(L2/L3-Distribution Cores),C8300 Border Router Cisco ISE, Cisco NEXGEN Firewall 1120 with FMC, Cisco Prime, Dell Brocade 5424, KG-175D's and 175G's

 

Requirements

  • Clearance: Secret
  • Associate degree and 5 years of work experience or 7 years of professional experience supporting PC hardware and software systems.
  • Ability to conduct research into PC and software issues and products as required.
  • Proven analytical and problem-solving abilities.
  • Ability to effectively prioritize and execute tasks in a high-pressure environment.
  • Good written, oral, and interpersonal communication skills.
  • Highly self-motivated and directed.
  • Team-oriented and skilled in working within a collaborative environment.
  • CCNA certification a must have
  • Administrative experience in day-to-day operational maintenance, support, and upgrades to hardware, software, and operating systems in a Microsoft Windows Server Environment; must be proficient with Microsoft’s Windows Server.
  • DoD 8570 IAT II certification (e.g., Security+, CND, CCNA-Security, CySA+, GICSP, GSEC, SSCP)


 

Education

Any Gradute
