Description

Senior Subject Matter Expert (SME) with proven expertise in DOCSIS, RDK, L2/L3 networking, and network automation along with hands-on experience in broadband or cable industry with strong architecture and delivery record.
Define and lead the technical vision and architecture strategy for DOCSIS, RDK-B/V, and L2/L3 network solutions across CoClientast’s broadband ecosystem.
Act as a point of contact for complex, cross-domain problems involving CMTS/vCMTS, CPE, provisioning, firmware, and access networks.
Shape long-term product evolution and roadmap planning with Product Managers, Engineering Directors, and global stakeholders.
Translate product ideas and market needs into scalable technical solutions by collaborating with product and platform engineering teams.
Architect end-to-end solutions involving DOCSIS vCMTS, RPDs, CPE, telemetry, and automation infrastructure.
Define technical roadmaps and provide strategic direction for product development in the access and CPE domains.
Lead deep-dive analysis and development around DOCSIS, RDK (Broadband & Video) platforms, and access technologies.
Serve as the go-to expert for DOCSIS protocol stack, vCMTS, CPE firmware behavior, and provisioning flows.
Strong design-level expertise in IP network architecture (L2/L3), including routing, switching, traffic engineering, and QoS.
Collaborate with vendors and internal labs to validate new features, resolve high-priority bugs, and assess new technologies.
Experience influencing product engineering roadmaps and engaging with cross-functional leadership.
Mentor engineering teams and drive best practices for design, automation, and scalable testing.
Proficiency in automation and scripting: Python, Ansible, Shell, Robot Framework, Jenkins, etc.
Exposure to CI/CD pipelines, cloud-native architecture, and telemetry platforms. –
Background in integrating platforms with cloud-native infrastructure (Kubernetes, Docker, AWS/GCP).
Any exposure to supporting Business KPI’s, network metrics and performance analysis – Preferred.

Experience with cable industry standard practices, interfaces, operating systems, and protocols such as DOCSIS 3.0/3.1/4.0, SIP, and Packet Cable
Exposure to DAA (Distributed Access Architecture),
Excellent understanding of TCP/IP, IPv4, IPv6, BGP, OSPF, Multicast, and MPLS, working knowledge of IS-IS
Prior extensive experience surrounding Ethernet and IP Service (Ethernet Private Line, Private LAN, Dedicated Internet, IPVLN, Internet, and Managed Router) with MEF 2.0 and MEF 3.0 support

Hands on multi-vendor devices – Ciena, Client, Juniper, Arista, Cisco
