MYSQL DBA

- Installing, configuring and maintaining MySQL/MariaDB Databases
- Install new versions of the MySQL RDBMS and its tools and any other tools that access the MySQL
- Performance tuning
- Upgrade of MySQL database
- Working knowledge on MySQL Workbench, MySQL Client, MySQLdump , Percona backup tool
- Scripts, Monitoring
- MySQL User management and ssl configuration
- Database Refresh
- Backup and recovery of the MySQL database
- Clean up dead lock issues
- innodblog, binary log, archiving, recompile invalid objects.
- Implements and enforces security for all of the MySQL Databases
- Troubleshoots with problems regarding the databases, applications
- Provisioning MySQL instances both in clustered and non-clustered configurations.
- Ensure Performance, Security and Availability of databases.
- Handle common database procedures such as Upgrade, Backup, Recovery, Migration etc.
- MySQL server parameter, optimize and tweak as necessary.
- Upgrading of MySQL underlying storage engines such as InnoDB and MyISAM.
- Experience with replication configuration in MySQL.
- Proficiency in writing and optimizing SQL statements.
- Knowledge of MySQL features such as event scheduler.
- Knowledge of MySQL limitations and their workarounds in contrast to other popular relational databases.
- Good knowledge of Linux basics and shell scripting.
- Knowledge of MongoDB / Cassandra DB or PostgreSQL is PLUS

- Excellent communication and conversation skills (Verbal and Written)
- Good documentation skills
- Good working knowledge of MS OFFICE, Spreadsheet (Including MS Project and Visio)
- Should have a great customer handling skills
- High level of acceptance
