MS SQL Server Engineer

• We are seeking a seasoned and motivated SQL Server Engineer with deep understanding of the database engine, proficient with SQL query development, entitlements and database logins/users data extracts, SSIS packages, and Always On architecture / PowerShell scripting programming skills.
• Experience with REST API interface is a bonus. Knowledge of virtualization products especially Hyper-V is a plus.
• Excellent communication skills are a must.
• The individual should be dynamic, quick learner, out of the box thinker, proactive, capable of working independently as well as within a team.
• Should be familiar with scrum framework values and agile practices, including hands-on knowledge of Jira and Horizon.

Must have skills:

Primary Skills:

• 10+ years of experience as a SQL Server Engineer preferably with previous DBA experience.
• Required skills include T-SQL code development (queries, stored procedures, views, triggers, etc), database security (entitlements, access, audit) and performance tuning expertise, PowerShell, SSIS and SSRS knowledge.
• Extensive SQL Server Always On / Windows Clustering.
• Extensive PowerShell / automation skills.
• Excellent communication skills

Good to have skills:

Secondary Skills: 

• Database and programming background with MSSQL, other database products is a plus.
• PowerShell scripting knowledge is essential.
• Other database products such as Oracle, MongoDB are a plus.
• Python, API development is a plus.
• Should be familiar with scrum framework values and agile practices, including hands-on knowledge of Jira and Horizon
