Description

• Bachelor’s degree in computer science or related field
• 8+ years total engineering, production support and administration or similar experience.
• Solid experience as application production support Engineer in a 24x7 uptime environment, including automation experience with configuration management tools.
• Extensive administration experience with middleware technologies WebSphere, WebSphere Liberty, JBoss/Wildfly, Tomcat, and WebLogic application servers.
• Extensive administration experience with middleware technologies Apache, IBM HTTP Server, Nginx, and IIS Web servers.
• Experience with migrating applications from one middleware technology to another.
• Extensive experience with applying patching on both middleware application and web servers.
• Automation experience with middleware products installations and patching using different tools like Rundeck, Ansible and Salt Stack .
• Experience working with SSL certificates installation and renewal. Also, knowledge on troubleshooting certificate related issues and mutual authentication.
• Understanding network topologies and common network protocols and services (DNS, HTTP(S), SSH, FTP, SMTP).
• Experience with tuning application for better performance and availability.
• Experienced in runtime, build and deployment technologies and state-of-the-art project tools: CI/CD, GIT, Maven, Eclipse, JIRA, and Confluence.
• Ability to analyze the load test results and recommend the appropriate tuning measurements.
• Strong understanding of different operating systems like RedHat Linux, Windows and AIX.
• Hands on scripting experience using Shell and Ansible to automate software builds, config management.
• Experience with log parsing technologies like Splunk
• Experience with application performance monitoring tool Dynatrace.
• Solid understanding in reading Java heap and thread dumps, and TCP dumps to troubleshoot issues
