Description

  • Windows Server / Patch Management: Administer and maintain Windows Server environments, including installations, configurations, patches, and upgrades.
  • Active Directory & Group Policy Management: Manage and troubleshoot Active Directory, domain controllers, user accounts, group policies, and organizational units (OUs).
  • System Monitoring & Performance Tuning: Monitor system performance, troubleshoot hardware/software issues, and implement performance tuning and optimization techniques.
  • Backup & Recovery: Implement and manage backup solutions for critical systems and perform regular system restores and disaster recovery testing.
  • Server & Network Security: Configure and manage firewalls, intrusion detection/prevention systems (IDS/IPS), and network security policies.
  • Automation & Scripting: Use PowerShell or other scripting languages to automate routine administrative tasks, such as patch management, system updates, and user account creation.

Cybersecurity Responsibilities:

  • Vulnerability Management: Conduct regular vulnerability assessments of Windows servers, workstations, and other Microsoft-based systems using tools like Microsoft Defender for Endpoint, Nessus, or Qualys.
  • Patch Management & Compliance: Regularly deploy security patches and updates to mitigate known vulnerabilities across all systems and applications.
  • Access Control & Identity Management: Enforce strong user authentication mechanisms, manage permissions, implement multi-factor authentication (MFA), and ensure compliance with least privilege access policies.
  • Incident Response: Respond to and investigate security incidents, analyze logs, determine the root cause of security breaches, and recommend remediation steps.
  • Security Auditing: Perform security audits on systems, configurations, and logs to ensure compliance with organizational security policies and standards.
  • Security Tools Management: Deploy and manage cybersecurity tools such as anti-virus/anti-malware, endpoint detection and response (EDR), and data loss prevention (DLP) solutions.
  • Data Protection & Encryption: Ensure data protection policies are enforced and manage encryption tools for protecting sensitive data in transit and at rest
