Key Skills & Qualifications (Common to Both Roles)
- Experience with Microsoft Dynamics 365 Finance & Operations, particularly Supply Chain modules.
- Deep understanding of supply chain processes, including procurement, inventory, warehousing, and logistics.
- Strong communication skills to collaborate with cross-functional teams and stakeholders.
- Knowledge of Power Platform (Power Automate, Power BI) is a plus.
- Familiarity with Agile or Waterfall project methodologies.
Functional Consultant:
- Proven experience in process mapping and functional documentation.
- Ability to align D365 functionality with business requirements without over-customization.
Responsibilities
Requirements Gathering & Analysis:
- Collaborate with stakeholders to understand business processes and requirements in supply chain modules (e.g., procurement, inventory, warehouse, transportation).
- Conduct gap analysis between current processes and Dynamics 365 functionality
Solution Design:
- Develop and document functional specifications based on business requirements.
- Configure D365 F&O supply chain modules to meet business needs.
Testing & Training:
- Create and execute test cases to validate system functionality and resolve issues.
- Deliver end-user training sessions and create user documentation.
Implementation & Support:
- Support full project life cycle, including go-live and post-implementation support.
- Work closely with technical teams for customizations and integrations.
Technical Consultant
- Proficiency in X++, SQL, and integration tools (e.g., Data Management Framework, Azure Logic Apps).
- Experience with system upgrades, performance tuning, and technical design.
Preferred Certifications
- Microsoft Certified: Dynamics 365 Supply Chain Management Functional Consultant Associate
- Microsoft Certified: Dynamics 365: Finance and Operations Apps Developer Associate
Responsibilities:
Customization & Development:
- Develop and deploy customizations using X++, Visual Studio, and other relevant tools.
- Create integrations between D365 F&O and third-party applications.
System Architecture:
- Design and optimize the technical architecture to support supply chain modules and processes.
- Ensure best practices for performance, scalability, and security.
Data Migration:
- Plan and execute data migration from legacy systems to D365 F&O.
- Develop data mapping, validation, and transformation routines.
Technical Troubleshooting & Support:
- Resolve system issues and performance bottlenecks.
- Provide ongoing technical support during and after implementation.
