Overview:
A professional services firm in NYC is looking for a Microsoft 365 and SharePoint contractor to support its internal teams. The company handles sensitive documentation and translation workflows, so the role focuses heavily on SharePoint site setup, user support, and light automation using Power Automate. This is not a heavy dev or infrastructure role — ideal for someone who can move fast in a lean tech environment and provide hands-on support.
Key Responsibilities:
- Set up and maintain SharePoint sites, folders, and permissions for internal departments
- Support end-users with Microsoft 365 tools including Outlook, Teams, OneDrive, and SharePoint
- Build simple automation flows using Power Automate to streamline document-based processes
- Troubleshoot common issues and serve as point of contact for day-to-day support
- Ensure data security and file access protocols are consistently followed
- Work closely with staff to improve collaboration workflows and document handling
Requirements:
- 3+ years of experience supporting Microsoft 365 and SharePoint in a business setting
- Strong understanding of SharePoint permissions, lists, libraries, and basic customization
- Experience with Power Automate for simple workflow automation
- Comfortable supporting non-technical users and working across departments
- Clear communication skills and a proactive approach to solving problems
Nice to Have:
