Drive the complete design and development process for interior/exterior automotive components - from concept to final product.
Ensure project deliveries according to established areas of responsibility, managing time, technology, and cost for specific tasks or components.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams - other R&D departments, stakeholders and suppliers - to ensure seamless integration of components into larger systems.
Create and manage technical documentation, including 2D and 3D CAD models, design verification plans, and component requirements.
Conduct feasibility studies and risk assessments for new design concepts, optimizing designs for manufacturability, cost-effectiveness and performance.
Develop and own the design verification plan, ensuring all component requirements are tested, verified and documented.
Stay up to date with automotive industry trends, emerging technologies and specific standards to drive innovation in interior/exterior design.
Participate in continuous improvement initiatives and contribute to the overall growth of the engineering team.
Apply knowledge of automotive-specific standards and processes throughout the design and development lifecycle.
Qualifications
Minimum Bachelor's degree in a relevant engineering field
Knowledge in plastic/sheet metal design
Knowledge of automotive-specific standards and processes
Proficiency in CAD systems (such as CATIA V5 and/or Creo) and PLM systems (such as Teamcenter and/or PDM-link)
