Our client is a prominent organization operating across industries with a strong focus on delivering advanced software solutions. As a Maven Support Developer, you will collaborate closely with cross-functional teams, providing technical software support and ensuring smooth operations for our client's production systems.

About the Role:

As a Maven Support Developer, you will serve as the second level of support for clients, primarily based in the UK. You will work closely with the Maven Service Analyst (MSA) Team to address production-related issues, troubleshoot software problems, and contribute to issue resolution within defined Service Level Agreements (SLAs). This role also includes participating in regular ticket review meetings with clients, delivering high-quality support, and managing minor software releases.

This is a 6-month B2B contract with the potential for extension. The role is based in the UK and can be performed remotely within the UK.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide technical software support for production-related issues and activities.
  • Collaborate with Maven Core Developers, Support Developers, Maven Service Analysts, and QA Testing Engineers.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve issue tickets, perform minor software release migrations, and manage build and release activities.
  • Utilize Jira for issue tracking and resolution within client-specific SLAs.
  • Ensure compliance with company policies for logging project and task time.
  • Travel to client or company sites when required.
  • Provide after-hours phone support, as needed.

Preferred Skills:

  • Technical Expertise: Proficient in Java/J2EE, Spring Boot, SQL, and relational databases (e.g., Oracle, MSQL). Familiarity with front-end technologies such as HTML5, CSS3, JavaScript, jQuery, and Ajax.
  • Additional Knowledge: XML, application servers (e.g., Tomcat, WebSphere, AWS, Azure), and development methodologies (Agile, Waterfall).
  • Problem Solving: Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills.
  • Communication: Excellent communication and collaboration skills for working with clients and internal teams.
  • Self-Motivation: Ability to work independently and manage tasks effectively in a fast-paced environment.
