Roles and Responsibilities:

  • Administer, maintain, and optimize Oracle databases to ensure high availability, performance, and security.
  • Develop and maintain stored procedures, and perform scripting tasks using Shell and Python.
  • Operate and support databases across UNIX, Linux, and Windows environments.
  • Work collaboratively to standardize database security and ensure compliance across platforms.
  • Implement database automation techniques and drive continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Conduct root cause analysis and implement long-term solutions for recurring issues.
  • Utilize monitoring and vulnerability reporting tools such as IBM Guardium and Tenable.
  • Support integration and security across databases like UDB, DB2, SYBASE, SQL Server, and Postgres Aurora.
  • Participate in disaster recovery planning, patching, and upgrades.
  • Communicate clearly and regularly with internal stakeholders and cross-functional teams.

Skills Required:

  • Expertise in Oracle Database Management (minimum 5+ years).
  • Proficiency in Shell Scripting and Python.
  • Strong knowledge of UNIX/Linux/Windows operating systems.
  • Familiarity with multiple RDBMS technologies including UDB, DB2, SYBASE, SQL Server, and Postgres Aurora.
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Azure is a plus.
  • Solid experience with Excel, Outlook, and Microsoft Office tools.
  • Experience with database monitoring and security tools such as Guardium and Tenable.
  • Strong interpersonal and relationship management skills.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to manage high-pressure situations, multitask, and work independently in an agile environment.
  • 11-13 years of overall professional experience.
  • Minimum 5 years in Oracle database management.
  • At least 10 years using Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Outlook, etc.).
  • Demonstrated experience in proactive problem solving and leading security/stability improvements in complex environments.

Education: Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or equivalent
