Description

Responsibilities

  • Test the programs in Sandbox and Staging.
  • To analyze existing jobs, programs and database structures.
  • Maintain the z/OS computer operating system software.
  • To identify where and what changes can be made.
  • Plan, evaluate and supervise system software staff.
  • To achieve performance enhancements needed.
  • To reduce batch processing times and online response times.

Required Skills

  • Good understanding on BMC Control-O environment.
  • Technologies include: IBM Mainframe COBOL, DB2, JCL, CICS.
  • Senior developer in migrating CA OPS/MVS programs (rules and REXX) to Control-O.
  • Strong analytical and technical skills.

Required Experience

  • 5-to 7 years of application programming and analysis experience.
  • Experience with VSAM, EasyTrieve, CICS, CICS web services including REST and SOAP, Endevor, Expediter, RDz or Topaz.
  • Experience with COBOL, SQL, Relational Datacom, and JCL.

Education Requirements

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering or a closely related field.
