Description

Responsibilities

  • Test the programs in Sandbox and Staging.
  • Will be coding extensions/enhancements to IBM systems software.
  • Code new programs, modify existing programs, tests, and documents programs.
  • Perform enhancements to existing systems.
  • Researches, resolves, and documents incident reports and gives time tables for completion.
  • Test all programs thoroughly following standard guidelines.

Required Skills

  • Good understanding on BMC Control-O environment.
  • IBM Mainframe skills such as JCL, IMS, HMC, HSM, TSO, Netview, etc.
  • Knowledge of IBM Mainframe and system programming in Assembly / ALC / Assembler a must.
  • Proficient in Cobol 390, CICS, JCL, TSO, VSAM, SQL DB2, and Xpediter. Abend-Aid strongly preferred.

Required Experience

  • 2 years minimum experience with installation, maintenance and support of at least one year major software products, including but not limited to: z/OS, DB2, IMS, CICS, and VTAM.
  • 1+ years minimum experience in project management (full technical management of large scale projects).
  • 3+ years experience. Reviews, analyzes, designs, develops, tests, implements, debugs, documents and/or maintains code.
  • Experience in other relational databases and debugging tools can be substituted.

Education Requirements

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering or a closely related field.
