Mainframe Engineer

 Job Description

Role

·         Governance of the Manager Supplier for Mainframe Services

·         Liaison between Managed supplier and Internal CL teams

·         Data Steward – manage Mainframe Configuration Items

·         Project Work – e.g. Metrics and System Reporting (MSR); Managed Supplier Zone (MSZ); Internal projects such as PSHCP.

·         Project coordination with Project Managers and user base for Mainframe technologies

·         CL Subject Matter Expertise for Mainframe – Particularly Hardware, z/OS, and Network

·         Main contact for DR activities for Mainframe

·         Security liaison for Mainframe activities (e.g. SiEM logging, Log4j coordination)

·         Internal Risk Management and Audit activities

·         Vendor Management

·         Managed Supplier access and compliance manager

·         On call rotation for Managed Supplier escalations

·         Mainframe Network

·         Mainframe security and architecture

Skills

·         Knowledge of overall mainframe environment;

·         Deep understanding of IT Operations best practices;

·         Understanding of ITIL processes;

·         Strong communications skills,

·         >=10 years of experience in a Mainframe environment
