Mainframe Developer

Responsibilities

• Responsible for working with clients independently owning deliverable end to end.
• Work with development teams to ensure the effective translation of client requirements into practical and supportable physical implementations that reflect the performance and scalability needs of the business.
• Manage other Software Developers establishing priorities in a dynamic environment.
• To provide support for enhancement (major and minor) or new developments based on business requirements as provided by the client as well as from the functional and technical team of the client on the project.
• To provide client support by presenting data, information, ticket resolution and day to day support activities like monitoring client requirements.
• To interact with the customer and internal teams to gather requirements for development purposes.
• Work with interfacing applications for resolutions.

Required Skills

• Ability to translate business requirement into mainframe code
• Ability to create High level and low-level design / estimation.
• Capability for Coding/Unit and Integration /system testing.
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent communication skills across all levels of the organization.

Required Experience

• 5+ years of professional experience as a mainframe application developer.
• Solid experience of the Systems Development Life-cycle (SDLC).
• Experience with Mainframe Print (LRS, VPS, and DRS, Info Print Server).

Education Requirements

• Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering or a closely related field.
