Prepare detailed project feasibility studies, formulate complete system scope, project cost, time estimates and human resource and IT infrastructure requirements for new and existing application software systems.
Assist directs, trains and coordinates the work of less experienced application software developers and/or application systems analyst staff and assists with development of difficult and complex programs.
Responsible for development, support, maintenance and implementation of a complex project module.
Design, code and debug new application software programs and/or makes enhancements to existing application software programs of all levels.
Required Skills
Demonstrated knowledge of COBOL programming or related procedural programming.
Demonstrated knowledge of database concepts.
Advanced skills working with COBOL, IDMS, JCL, and SQL.
Ability to comprehend complex technical and logical concepts and adapt quickly to changes.
Strong quantitative, analytics, problem solving and organizational skills are required.
Ability to prioritize and manage concurrent projects, demonstrate initiative and work independently with minimal supervision.
Required Experience
Experience in all aspects of SDLC including specification development, design, coding, testing, implementation, and maintenance of complex mainframe applications.
