Mainframe Developer

We are seeking an experienced Mainframe Developer with 5 to 10 years of hands-on development experience. The ideal candidate will have core mainframe development expertise, including COBOL, JCL, VSAM, and DB2, and experience working with SQL databases. This role will focus on onboarding a new product into KeyBank, supporting existing mainframe systems, and contributing to future projects.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and support mainframe applications using COBOL, JCL, VSAM, and DB2.
• Work on onboarding a new product into KeyBank, ensuring smooth integration with existing systems.
• Support and enhance existing mainframe systems, performing regular maintenance and troubleshooting.
• Collaborate with other teams to ensure the development meets business requirements and is executed in a timely manner.
• Participate in and contribute to future mainframe-related projects.
• Ensure quality and stability in all development tasks, adhering to Client's best practices and standards.

Required Qualifications

• 5 to 10 years of core mainframe development experience.
• Strong experience with COBOL, JCL, VSAM, DB2.
• Proficient in working with SQL databases.
• Recent hands-on development experience with mainframe technologies.
• Strong problem-solving and debugging skills.
• Ability to work effectively with internal teams and external stakeholders.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with CICS (optional but beneficial).
• Familiarity with additional mainframe technologies and tools.

Certifications

Relevant certifications in mainframe technologies or software development (optional but preferred)
