Mainframe CICS Systems Programmer

Required experience:

A minimum of ten years working as a CICS Systems Programmer / Engineer

Knowledge of all CICS parameters that control performance in a CICSPlex environment.

Expert knowledge of JCL. Job Control Language.

Knowledge of SMP/E, software upgrade and maintenance

In depth knowledge of CICS SMF record structure and the CICS Performance Analyzer tool to gather statistics for tuning CICS regions

Experience with implementation & customization, dynamic transaction routing, etc.

Ability to perform problem determination, dump analysis and performance tuning

Experienced with the CICS monitoring tools

Familiarity with ROSCOE, BMC Control-M, BMC Control-D, and IBM TSO

Knowledge of Cobol to support application developers
