Description

Responsibilities:

  • Design, code, test, and debug mainframe applications and systems using Assembler language.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather requirements and translate them into technical solutions.
  • Enhance and maintain existing mainframe applications to improve performance, reliability, and scalability.
  • Implement Connex and Switch configurations to enable secure and efficient communication between mainframe systems and external platforms.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues related to mainframe applications, Connex, and Switch configurations.
  • Conduct code reviews, performance analysis, and optimization to ensure code quality and system efficiency.
  • Stay updated with industry trends, technologies, and best practices related to mainframe development, Connex, and Switch.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field.
  • Proven experience as a Mainframe Assembler Engineer, with strong proficiency in Assembler language programming.
  • Hands-on experience with Connex and Switch technologies, including configuration, integration, and troubleshooting.
  • Familiarity with mainframe environments, databases, and tools (e.g., COBOL, JCL, DB2) is a plus.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
  • Strong communication and collaboration abilities.
  • Ability to work independently and in a team-oriented environment.
  • Certifications in mainframe technologies or Connex/Switch platforms are advantageous.
