Description

Responsibility:   

  • Extensive experience in Mainframe hardware migration, configuring IOCP,IODF and HCD.
  • Experience in Mainframe storage and tape library migration
  • Experience in planning and building new mainframe infrastructure services.
  • Knowledge in CICS and MQ
  • Knowledge in Mainframe network technology such as VTAM, TCP IP including routing, switching, and network protocols
  • Performance tuning and optimization skills to analyze system performance and make adjustments to optimize resource usage is key to ensuring efficiency.
  • Preferred expertise in languages like COBOL, JCL, Assembler.
  • Knowledge of database management systems like DB2 and VSAM.
  • Understanding of mainframe security protocols, such as RACF, and best practices for protecting data.
  • Mainframe cryptography knowledge, cryptographic techniques to protect sensitive data.
  • Problem-Solving and Analytical Skills: Strong ability to analyze complex data, identify issues, and develop effective solutions.
  • Understanding Workload Management and expertise in managing and optimizing workloads on IBM mainframe system.

 

Required skills and qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or a related field.
  • Minimum of 10+ years of experience as a Mainframe Administrator and 5+ as Architect.
  • Strong knowledge of Mainframe technologies and best practices.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
  • Ability to lead and facilitate Scrum ceremonies
