Description

Responsibilities

  • Responsible for the overall systems security of the Linux infrastructure, server patch management services and system management and administration.
  • Participate in the development of standards and decisions regarding changes to systems/applications.
  • Plan, coordinate and complete required assignments.
  • Provide technical assistance, and researches/offers practical solutions to a wide-range of complex technical issues.
  • Design, deploy and maintain configuration management tools like Puppet/Ansible etc.

Required Skills

  • Extensive knowledge of Linux scripting languages (Python, JavaScript, sh/bash, YAML, etc).
  • Strong understanding of management/deployment tools (Puppet, Ansible, Satellite).
  • Good knowledge of Oracle RAC cluster in Linux.
  • Knowledge of Cluster Package Build, Stop, Start, Failover, Failback and other maintenance activities.
  • Knowledge of build and manage the Disaster Recovery setup in any one of the cluster technology.
  • Good knowledge of Linux device files and creation.

Required Experience

  • 5+ years IT experience.
  • Experience deploying Linux based virtualization technologies. VMWare experience preferred.
  • Experience deploying applications, databases, and virtualization services.
  • Experience with Cloud platforms (private, public or hybrid).
  • Strong Linux automation scripting experience.
  • Kernel understanding and tuning experience.

Education Requirements

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering or a closely related field
