Lead Platform Engineer

Job Description:

We are seeking an experienced Lead Platform Engineer to join our team in a full-time, permanent capacity. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in platform and system engineering with a focus on infrastructure, platform technologies, and service design. This role requires deep technical expertise in Linux, RedHat, Networking foundations, and VMware. The candidate should have a proven history of longevity in their career, with a preference for those with at least 3 years of tenure at previous employers (no contractors).

Key Responsibilities:

• Design, implement, and support platform technologies with a focus on infrastructure reliability and scalability.
• Develop and maintain IT services with an emphasis on high availability and recovery design principles.
• Manage platform operations, service risk assessments, and ensure adherence to IT security standards.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to design, implement, and maintain a robust IT infrastructure.
• Provide expertise in 3-tier architecture and application security frameworks.

Required Qualifications:

• Experience: Minimum 8 years in IT, with experience in platform engineering, IT service design, delivery, and support.
• Technical Skills:
  • Proficiency in Linux and RedHat.
  • Strong foundation in Networking and VMware.
  • Working knowledge of 3-tier architecture and application security principles.
• Experience with IT service risk assessment processes and IT high availability/recovery design principles.
• Proven track record of tenure in past roles (at least 3 years per role preferred).

Preferred Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
• Experience in complex IT infrastructure environments supporting platforms and services
