Job Overview:

We are looking for an experienced Looker Developer to join our analytics team. The ideal candidate will have strong expertise in Looker and data visualization, with a proven ability to turn complex datasets into meaningful insights. You will work closely with cross-functional teams to design and build scalable data models and dashboards, supporting data-driven decision-making across the organization.

Key Responsibilities:

Develop, maintain, and enhance Looker dashboards, reports, and visualizations to support business needs.
Build robust LookML models, optimize data workflows, and ensure data accuracy.
Collaborate with data engineers and analysts to ensure data quality and accessibility.
Gather business requirements and translate them into effective reporting solutions.
Implement best practices in data modeling, including SQL queries and LookML development.
Continuously improve existing Looker dashboards based on user feedback and evolving business requirements.
Provide guidance and mentorship to junior developers and analysts.
Troubleshoot issues related to data accuracy, performance, and visualization rendering.
Stay updated with the latest Looker features and improvements.

Qualifications:

Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Data Science, or a related field.
5+ years of experience working as a Looker Developer or in a similar role.
Strong knowledge of LookML and Looker architecture.
Proficiency in SQL for data querying and performance optimization.
Experience with data warehousing concepts and technologies (e.g., BigQuery, Redshift, Snowflake).
Familiarity with ETL processes and tools.
Ability to translate business requirements into technical specifications.
Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
Excellent communication skills and the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.

Preferred Skills:

Experience with cloud platforms (AWS, GCP, or Azure).
Familiarity with other BI tools (e.g., Tableau, Power BI) is a plus.
Experience in data governance and data security best practices.
