Lead DataStage ETL Developer

Job Description/Responsibilities:

This ETL developer will be coding in SQL and DataStage on a daily basis but also helping to lead some of the offshore team members to make sure work is getting done. This area of the EDO helps with day-to-day work but is also close by with the data strategy and insights team.

Requirements:

Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Information Systems, or related field.
Proven experience as an ETL Developer, preferably with a minimum of 6+ years of experience in designing and developing ETL processes using IBM DataStage.
Strong SQL programming skills with experience in writing complex queries, stored procedures, and performance tuning.
Solid understanding of data warehousing concepts, dimensional modeling, and ETL best practices.
Experience working with relational databases such as Oracle, SQL Server, or DB2.
Proficiency in scripting languages like Shell scripting or Python is a plus.
Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills with a keen attention to detail.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively in a collaborative team environment.
Experience with other ETL tools such as Informatica or Talend is a plus.
Relevant certifications in ETL development or data warehousing (e.g., IBM Certified Data Engineer) are desirable but not required.
