Profile Summary
As Lead Scientist of Distribution and Sales Enablement Group, you will be responsible to
- Deliver innovative customer-focused analytical models to support Client's Investment Management business in engaging our clients and business.
- Apply machine-learning algorithms and statistical techniques to Client hidden patterns in data, which can be used to predict the likelihood of future events.
- Create and maintain the analytics ecosystem for integrating data and building and deploying predictive models.
- Understand business needs, translate requirements to technical specification and provide technical guidance to team in India.
Job Responsibility
- Deliver insights and solutions to data science business problems by building predictive models and advanced analytics using a combination of structured and unstructured data sources and applying a variety of data science techniques.
- Understand business needs to ensure that the data and analysis are meaningful and accurate.
- Develop and deploy predictive models and advanced analytics to solve business problems.
- Optimize, validate, integrate, and operationalize the models in client ecosystem for end-users.
- Deliver effective communication and presentations to business partners and technical audiences, utilizing data visualizations to present technical results.
- Successfully work on open-ended tasks, anticipating and identifying problems and developing alternative solutions, seeking guidance when necessary
- Assist in the evaluation of data science technologies, frameworks, and data sources.
- Perform as an Individual contributor as well as mentor, and train resources when given a team.
- Provide technical direction and coaching to developers in development activities (2-4 people).
- Recommend design alternatives, consider benefits and limitations to users based on in-depth understanding of business needs; code very moderate/complex or high-risk components.
- Periodic reviews with Client's Investment Management team on operations, progress and overall direction
- Plan and assist with professional development and technical training for the offshore team
Requirements and Qualifications
- 5+ years of experience developing and delivering data science solutions.
- Expertise in core data science tools and technologies selecting and applying data science/machine learning/artificial intelligence algorithms and methods (e.g., decision trees, regression, neural networks, clustering, and time series analyses)
- Proficient in SQL, Python, Pyspark
- Data visualization: Power BI or Tableau skills preferred.
- Experience with Cloud Technologies – Azure (preferred), Snowflake, Databricks relational databases
- Strong communication, documentation skills & ability to interact with client stakeholders.
- Solid business acumen with the ability to quickly learn about Client's Investment Management businesses.
- Explore innovative technology trends and apply them in appropriate scenarios to deliver value to Team, Customer and Organization
- Assist Product Owner for the successful execution of Analytical model (estimation, dependencies, reviews, customer satisfaction, etc.)
- Good understanding on agile methodology
- Ability to challenge current methodologies/approaches and develop more efficient and effective solutions.
- Proficient in MS Project, Outlook, Word, Excel, SharePoint, Visio, and PowerPoint
Education & Certifications
- Engineering Graduate or Advanced degree (master's or Ph.D.) in data science or another quantitative discipline such as statistics, computer science, applied mathematics, or engineering, or equivalent experience.
- Knowledge of Investment Management domain or Financial Services.
