Job Description:
- The Enterprise Data Science team is a multi-disciplinary team of data experts that work together to convert vast amounts of business and consumer data into actionable insights, improved business decisions, and positive customer interactions.
- The team's analytics are used to build, retain and strengthen our relationship with individual clients, plan sponsors and distribution partners, and to improve our business processes across the enterprise.
- The Enterprise Data Science team requires specialized data and analytics skills from three disciplines:
- Analytics solution consulting – Combining business knowledge and analytical skills to identify, quantify and prioritize data analytics opportunities in consultation with the businesses.
- Predictive modeling and data science – Applying machine-learning algorithms and statistical techniques to Client hidden patterns in data, which can be used to predict the likelihood of future events.
- Analytics architecture and technologies – Creating and maintaining the analytics "ecosystem” for integrating data and building and deploying predictive models.
Job Roles & Responsibilities:
- Develop working relationships with key business partners and SMEs
- Understand business needs to ensure that analyses are meaningful and aligned to business objectives
- Evaluate processes and initiatives to measure impact and make appropriate recommendations based on results
- Perform data analysis to deliver actionable business insights
- Generate clear and meaningful profiles and segmentations of Client's customers and businesses
- Identify, research, and resolve data anomalies to ensure data quality
- Work with the predictive modeling team to ensure that models are accurate and reflect business reality
- Participate in team huddles/standups with the SMEs/team to review and communicate ongoing work
- Clearly present analytics findings to team members and business stakeholders
Required Knowledge and Experience:
- Bachelor's degree, preferably in a quantitative or business field.
- Minimum of 2-4 years of experience in financial services and/or analytics.
- Proficient in Python and SQL
- A proven track record of using analytics to deliver insight and quantify benefits
- Able to clearly communicate the results and process of an analytics project
- Able to present complex findings in a business-friendly manner, including appropriate and effective data visualizations using tools such as PowerPoint, Power BI, Tableau, and Excel
- Able to validate data quality to ensure it is appropriate for analysis
- Understanding of one or more client's core business concepts (Retirement, Employee Benefits, Investment Management)
