Provide expertise on all AWS platform constructs and services, helping internal stakeholders to gain clarity on the solutioning of applications that are migrating, new or re-architecting.
Reducing manual effort by the introduction of automation though programmatic means using any of the following coding elements – Python, Terraform or Cloud Formation, API integration
Lead and influence team members to forge consensus on technical discussions including architectural and design guidelines, code reviews, release process, etc.
Continuous alignment with other CA&T Product teams where required to ensure continuous development of an iterative cloud roadmap to plan for ongoing changes to services\platforms as technologies emerge and new features are requested by users
Support the definition and development of the KPIs and reporting structures to demonstrate how cloud services align with the business objectives
Maintain a JIRA or Azure DevOps based backlog for the Advisory & Enablement function within the CEO team
Manage stakeholders and multiple initiatives across the cloud product portfolio in a trusted advisor capacity
Map business needs to actual solutions, systems, and/or services.
Cost/Benefit moClienting with mapping to business KPIs.
Help to design, develop and continuously improve systems and services
Perform empirical hypothesis based experiments in conjunction with Engineering to help improve customer outcomes
Stay abreast of the state of the art in relevant fields, experiment and promote internally, challenge the status quo, and encourage implementation and adoption
Collaborating with our stakeholders build a Cloud Landing Zone specific 'technology radar' to communicate which tools and frameworks in which situation. Highlighting those that are being evaluated, should be used, or are being deprecated.
Create and foster a culture of teamwork between the CA&T, ITSS and the Architecture teams, establishing practical team strategies to deliver outcomes aligned with the product and customer requirements.
Participate in security incident response and investigation as/if needed
Show initiative, own issues, and take on challenges on behalf of CEO & CA&T
Become familiar with wider IT, CA&T Services and processes
Become familiar with and adhere to Zurich security and architecture policies
Qualifications:
5+years’ experience delivering AWS solutions in a large-scale enterprise environment
Expert level knowledge of AWS with associated certifications
Expertise on AWS Cloud technologies. Designing solutions using one or more AWS features
Proficient in the use of configuration management tools e.g. Cloud formation, Ansible, Terraform, Python, Powershell
Knowledgeable on automated build, deployment, and CI/CD
Coding experience within AWS platform any of - Python, Terraform, ARM, API integration
Relevant degree or diploma programme of study
Project, program or service delivery management experience in virtual/cloud infrastructures
Proven experience of working within supplier-led service delivery models
Proven ability to succeed in collaborative work environments using Agile methodologies
Ability to effectively communicate with all levels of the organization, both orally and written
Experience with Agile/SCRUM development methodologies
Good experience on Requirement/Design/Code Review & Inspections practices
Good on Estimation Practices: Effort and Schedule
Experience in Development processes like creating technical and architectural documents and QA processes like designing test plans, functional testing, end to end scenario automation, performance and security testing
