Lead Android Developer

Job Title: Lead Android Developer

We are looking for an experienced Lead Android Developer who is passionate about building high-quality fintech applications. This is a high-ownership, hands-on role ideal for candidates with strong technical skills and leadership experience in mobile development. You'll be leading the development of our core Android application used by over 1 million users.

Key Responsibilities:

Lead the architecture, development, and deployment of our Android fintech application.

Take full ownership of app performance, user experience, and reliability.

Write clean, efficient, and maintainable code with a strong focus on syntax, logic, and debugging.

Act as an individual contributor while also mentoring and managing a team of experienced developers 

Drive recruitment, training, and performance of the Android team.

Ensure seamless integration with services like Firebase, Google Maps, and real-time sockets.

Implement robust session management and notification systems.

Develop custom libraries and reusable components using Core Java (Kotlin experience is a plus).

Stay updated with the latest Android SDKs and platform features.

Required Qualifications:

7+ years of total software development experience.

Strong knowledge of Core Java and Android fundamentals.

Proven experience in building and maintaining large-scale Android apps.

Experience working on the latest Android versions and APIs.

Proficient with:

Firebase (Authentication, Firestore, FCM)

Push Notifications

Google Maps integration

Session Management

Real-time Socket Integration (e.g., WebSockets, Socket.IO)

Past experience in a technical leadership role.

Background in product-based companies is highly preferred.

Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to debug and resolve complex issues.

Nice to Have:

Experience with Flutter is an added advantage.

Exposure to backend integration and RESTful APIs.

Familiarity with version control systems (Git) and CI/CD pipelines.
