Lab Technician

Prioritized Must Have Skills for the Lab Technician:

#1. At least 2 years of Laboratory experience, must be actual running of tests and running lab equipment, bachelor’s in chemistry or science field preferred, data entry.

#2. Technical degree and/or certification in science related field with laboratory requirements.

#3. Equivalent and relevant work experience may be substituted for certain education requirements. A high school diploma or GED is required.

#4. Ability to read, write, and comprehend the English language.

#5. Expertise in making precise and accurate measurements.

Requirements for the Lab Technician:

Basic Qualifications:

• Technical degree or certification in a science-related field with laboratory experience.
• Relevant work experience may be accepted in place of some educational requirements; however, a high school diploma or GED is mandatory.
• Proficiency in reading, writing, and understanding English.
• Ability to perform precise and accurate measurements.

Required Skills and Abilities:

• Availability to work four 10-hour shifts per week; must be able to complete training on the day shift.
• Flexibility to work rotating weekends and holidays as scheduled.
• Strong attention to detail, with excellent communication, organizational, time-management, and troubleshooting abilities.
• Capability to draft routine reports and correspondence, and accurately enter data into records.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite.
• Competency in basic arithmetic, including addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division, as well as working with fractions, the metric system, percentages, and decimals, with the ability to convert units as needed.
• High importance on safety practices.
• Willingness to work overtime as required
