Kafka Developer

Responsibilities

• Create and update all relevant documentation and specifications for design, development and testing.
• Escalate problems of complex technical circumstances to appropriate channels.
• Promote policies that foster quality standards and industry best practice.
• Adhere to ethical standards and comply with the laws and regulations applicable to your job function.
• May need to provide training to other employees.
• Make suggestions regarding new implementations.
• Assist with conversion to new systems.

Required Skills

• Good Understanding of relational and non-relational databases (Oracle, MS SQL Server, T- SQL).
• Ability to perform data related benchmarking, performance analysis and tuning.
• Ability to think abstractly and deal well with ambiguous/undefined problems.
• Must be able to work independently and as an effective team member.
• Solid skills in in-memory applications, database design and data integration.

Required Experience

• Experience in Confluent Kafka environment Kafka Cluster Apache Zookeeper to provide inputs in designing.
• Experience in to transform data into topics streaming processors in Kafka.
• Experience in data streaming technologies. Solid experience in using Kafka.
• Experience in developing applications with Java, Spring Boot and Python.
• Prior web services development experience with SOAP and REST services.
• Experience in test driven development and frameworks such as Mockito, Cucumber, rSpec.
• Prior experience leading a team of developers and Dev-test engineers.
• Experience with version control systems such as SVN and Git. Good understanding of the CI/CD and devOps principles.

Education Requirements

• Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering or a closely related field.
