Junior Financial Analyst

Samsung is seeking a Junior Financial Analyst to join our BM/SRA Team supporting financial planning and analysis for cloud development projects. Key Responsibilities

Financial Analysis & Reporting

• Assist in preparing financial reports such as budget vs. actuals, variance analysis, and ad-hoc reports.
• Analyze costs and resource plans for cloud development projects.
• Support financial performance tracking and corrective action planning.

Budgeting & Forecasting

• Contribute to annual and quarterly budgeting and forecasting activities.
• Maintain financial data accuracy in models and forecasts.
• Ensure budget alignment with cloud business strategies.

Financial Modeling & Data Analysis

• Develop and maintain Excel-based financial models.
• Analyze historical trends to inform forecasting and long-term planning.
• Provide financial insights to support project decisions.

Collaboration

• Liaise with cloud development teams to understand and support financial needs.
• Collaborate with senior finance staff to identify cost-saving opportunities.
• Communicate financial outcomes to internal stakeholders clearly and effectively.

Process Improvement

• Recommend and implement improvements in reporting and forecasting processes.
• Assist in developing SOPs for cloud-related financial functions.

Qualifications

Education

• Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, or a related field required.

Experience

• 1–2 years of experience in financial analysis or a related role.
• Exposure to technology/cloud environments preferred.
• Experience with budgeting, forecasting, financial reporting, and invoice validation.

Technical Skills

• Advanced Excel proficiency (VLOOKUP, Pivot Tables, modeling, etc.)
• Familiarity with financial and project management tools:
  • Financial tools: Looker, NetSuite, Tableau (any exposure acceptable)
  • Project tools: Smartsheet, Asana
• Knowledge of financial statements, reconciliations, and variance analysis
