Job Summary:
Business Integra Inc. is seeking a skilled Jira Administrator to support our client, the Defense Technical Information Center (DTIC). The Jira Administrator will be responsible for managing, configuring, and maintaining Jira instances, ensuring optimal performance and reliability. This position requires an individual with a strong background in system administration, Jira configuration, and workflow customization. The role requires the ability to work both independently and as part of a collaborative team, with one day per week required onsite at Fort Belvoir, VA.
Key Responsibilities:
- Administer and maintain Jira Software and related tools (e.g., Confluence, Bitbucket) to support project management activities.
- Design, implement, and manage Jira workflows, schemes, custom fields, and permissions to meet project needs.
- Monitor Jira system performance and proactively resolve issues.
- Ensure the security and integrity of Jira systems, including data backup and recovery planning.
- Provide support and troubleshooting for Jira users, including resolving access issues and system bugs.
- Create dashboards, custom reports, and other Jira tools to support reporting and tracking needs.
- Stay updated on new Jira features, plug-ins, and best practices, and implement improvements accordingly.
- Collaborate with development teams and stakeholders to understand their needs and offer Jira solutions.
Required Qualifications:
- Active Secret Clearance (must be current).
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or related field (or equivalent experience).
- 3+ years of experience in Jira administration.
- Experience with Jira Software, Confluence, Bitbucket, and other Atlassian tools.
- Proficient in configuring and customizing Jira workflows, permissions, notifications, and schemes.
- Strong understanding of Jira system performance tuning and monitoring.
- Experience integrating Jira with other software development tools (CI/CD pipelines, Git, etc.).
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Strong communication and customer service skills to effectively assist users.
